LUTHERAN CHURCH LAUNCHES FREE MEAL PROGRAM TO COMBAT LOCAL HUNGER CRISIS
St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in Detroit has opened its doors 24/7 as a community kitchen, serving hot meals to families affected by rising food insecurity. Partnering with local farms and volunteers, the program has already distributed 10,000 meals in its first month. Pastor Emily Carter said, “Jesus fed the multitude—we’re just following His example.” Donations have surged since the initiative went viral on TikTok.
